I've been driving with a low coolant light for months. the other day I put 36 ounces ish of coolant in it at my friends garage. didn't even keep the light off till i got home.

Every now and then the car will start to overheat and I blast the heater and it goes back down to the midline. My parents are supposed to be taking care of it for a birthday present. Afraid my car is going to die before then.

then again its never been in the red so its probably okay.

Dunno when your b-day is but that's going to be a problem for you when it starts getting warmer, so either take it to a mechanic really soon, or try some of that coolant leak fix goop, which actually can plug relatively minor leaks.

hmm good stuff, maybe I'll try that. I only have to wait a few weeks so I think I'm good.

I let it go for a few minutes before admitting it wasn't my joke. I'm so ashamed.

That's the kind of joke my dad would make all the time. Probably what I miss most about him.

on a semi-related note, Potbelly's sandwiches are pretty decent, I think. best of those sandwich chain joints.

You definitely should. When we were buying our current house, the previous owners had a similar bar in the backyard, though fairly old. When we were negotiating, we had our realtor ask if they'd leave it for us. Turns out they didn't want to move it so they left it for free (or you could say they charged us $300,000 for it, I suppose). Anyway, I sanded it and painted it and it's good as somewhat kinda new. It's awesome for entertaining. And drinking. Best of all, the first time I sat in one of the bar stools, I looked into our house and could see our tv perfectly.

I watch a lot of Phils games sitting out on that table, drinking beer, ignoring my children and getting savagely attacked by mosquitoes. It's blissful.

Agreed. Problem is one is too small and ordering two always makes me feel even more fat than I am.

They're cheap enough though that two isn't that outrageous for a lunch.

Hmm, looking at their website they now have larger sandwiches. I haven't been in a few years. That seems like it would solve everything.
