Donations

Since a number of people expressed interest these new board, and said, "Hey, I'll contribute $x" to it", we added the option to make a donation via PayPal.

We're only taking donations up to the amount needed to cover hosting and domain costs, which have already grown (from $195 to $350) for the first year. If we end up collecting more, we'll earmark it for future expenses.

Anyone who makes a donation will get listed on the site, and will get the rank "BSG MVP" listed under their username.

With regards to the PayPal setup. This is a new system, and it may have a few bugs. We recommend holding onto your email receipt until you show up on the donor list and with the rank associated with your username.

The "BSG MVP" rank is our own (site admins) doing. It's a manual process where we've been matching up the email addresses Paypal gives us with registered email addresses. We don't have the information about anonymous donors, because PayPal doesn't record that information.

When all that donations get processed by PayPal (which should be next week sometimes), the donor list will be generated on the site (you can see the "framework" for it on the main page now). Anonymous donors won't be listed.

If you made an anonymous donation, and you don't want the BSG MVP rank, just let me know, and we can remove it at your request.
