i can't be the only one who is enraged by the terrible editing in just about every TV show. the main thing that bugs me is OTS shots where the mouth is clearly not synced with the audio. how can this happen again and again? this is someone's job, right?

I think you're more suffering from a broadcast problem somewhere in the string of satellites, cables, and electronic circuits. Check out a store-bought DVD and see if the issue still exists. Yeah, I know a little extreme, but it's all in the name of science.

That morning was the only time I actually passed out or even felt like passing out, and I think you're right, it was likely because I was dehydrated. Plus I think I had a fever, and taking a hot shower probably made that worse.

Since then I've pretty much been sleeping and drinking Gatorade and that's about it. I was pretty oblivious to anything in the outside world. Mild case of the flu perhaps? I'm not at 100% yet, but I'm on the mend.

Glad to hear you're not dead. I think Pedialyte is a little more effective than Gatorade but not by much. They make ice pops too which are good to keep in the back of the freezer just in case. I'm almost positive dehydration was to blame when I passed out that time a few years back and sliced the back of my arm and had to staple it. Actually IIRC it happened twice in the matter of a few days but never again. I didn't have any other symptoms, though.

It's a weird feeling. Did you kinda lose your hearing for a second or two before you fell out? Sort of like when you are on an airplane and your ears haven't popped yet and then you know you're gonna fall but there is nothing you can do about it- like your whole body turns to jelly.

Buy anyway, do you want to be friends or no?

Well that was akward, a coworker just came into my office and shut the door. She said she needed a second and started crying her eyes out for like 5 minutes. I wasn't too sure what to do so I kept it simple and just asked if everything was OK and offered a tissue. She gathered herself opened the door and left. I'm pretty sure it's her home life that is weighing her down, we talk pretty often, but man what a way to start a Thursday morning.

So my wife has been suffering from chronic pain in her lower back and hips, that manifests more as an ache than sharp pain, and it's not a muscular pain.

So she finally got around to going to the doctor about this on Tuesday. The doctor immediately sent her to get X-rays and blood work, as given her cancer history the doctor was worried about the possibility of metastasis into her bones.

So we've been pretty freaked out the last couple of days. The doctor (or rather, a nurse from the doctor's office, which is always preferable) called saying that the blood work was clean. The catch was they couldn't find the X-ray results. Fortunately, they turned up this morning and they're all clear too.

Unfortunately, the doctors aren't fully satisfied yet, especially as we still don't know what's causing the discomfort. My wife's GP is going to talk to her oncologist about possibly doing a bone scan, and if that's negative then they'll probably just send her for physical therapy.

Let me just say a heart-felt FUCK YOU to cancer for making every routine checkup into a panic attack.

PhatJ, sorry to hear of your troubles.

My mom just had to have surgery for lower back and hip pain. She had to get her spine scraped, there was buildup of some sort putting pressure on a nerve that ran down her back into her hip. She has been pain free after the surgery.

Good luck my man.

Damn, j. I'm really sorry to hear that. Like you said, the worst part is that this'll probably go on forever. If it's not one near miss it'll be another.

Best wishes, J.

I'm surprised they aren't doing an MRI or CT scan because it could be a bulging disc related issue. Then again they may be able to see something like that on the bone scan but I'm not sure.

Anyway, good luck and stay positive.

A young Dutchman previously arrested in the 2005 disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway is the prime suspect in a weekend murder of a Peruvian woman, police said Wednesday.

Joran van der Sloot is being sought in the Sunday killing of 21-year-old Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel, Criminal police chief Gen. Cesar Guardia told a news conference. He said the suspect fled the country the next day by land to Chile.

The killing occurred exactly five years after the May 30, 2005, disappearance of Holloway in Aruba, a Dutch Caribbean island.
