yo, this is bull shit. my zipper is defective (i.e. it just randomly goes down for no apparent reason). basically this means i can't really safely wear these jeans unless i want to re-zip constantly, which wouldn't be that much of a problem if i didn't have a phobia of getting my junk caught in my zipper dating back to There's Something About Mary (and also, one time i actually almost did get my junk caught in the zipper--scariest minute of my life)

so now, because there's this tiny part of my erstwhile completely fine jeans, i gotta lose them? that's bull. the zipper is, pound for pound, the most important part of the jeans. if the zipper goes before the rest of the jeans, you should get a free pair of jeans regardless of how many times you've worn them. no questions asked. there's just too much riding on it.

what brand jeans are they and where did you get them? various women in my life has shown me that if you complain about crap like that, you'll often get a replacement, whether it's within 30 days or you have a receipt or whatever

when they said "if you complain" they were talking about people with boobs.

You could do that, or take them to a dry cleaner that does alterations, and have them replace the zipper.

Srsly, you can try to tighten the zipper slider thingy by slightly/gently crimping down on each side (the edges where the teef go) with needlenose pliers and the zipper down (and obviously not wearing em). Don't wanna crimp to tight or the zipper thing will never move again.

Worst case, there's always acetylene.
