pacino wrote:the physics of 70 to 97 are so different, its ridiculous (every 5 mph is exponentially more dangerous in regards to you controlling your car) but whatever. AND I HAVE ADMITTED I WAS WRONG, YOU NEVER DID. Youve also had many a 'fun story' about almost (or actually?) beating individuals on the sides of roads for various dubious indiscretions. My story was 11 months ago and had time to reflect on it...I DONT GO OVER THE SPEED LIMIT ON THAT HIGHWAY ANYMORE. The ticket worked for me, I changed my habits. Will you, other than getting a new license? Will you suddenly go the limit?
The fact that you just go right to trying to use those cards is what upsets me. It's just so bold and disgustingly brazen. It's also quite flippant about the law and what it means. You really should think about that. It seems to me those close to cops should know the law better, and be more respectful of it.
It's just amazing that you've tried to make a 97 mph ticket, when obviously you';ve had many a previous ticket before, into the same thing as a dumbass getting and reacting to his first ticket from driving 70, and then actually changing his ways. Again, I'm not the only one that's said you're crazy here, but you've decided to only reply to me in order to make yourself feel a little superior about bringing down that damned hypocrite without reflecting at all on what exactly brought us here. I didn't drive your car, you did.
...wait, you don't have a 95 Ford, do you? If so, I might've driven your car, dude.
Look I was pissed off and venting. The last thing I needed to hear was "not to break the law and the situation being mind-boggling" from the guy who was pulled over for careless driving in the past few weeks and speeding less than a year ago- especially considering the speeding situations were identical. I'm glad to hear you're not driving 20mph over that speed limit on that particular highway anymore though- hopefully you refrain from driving that fast on all the highways you travel on.
Getting a new license has nothing to do with this. Why do you keep bringing it up? Maybe you just haven't been driving long enough or it's different in PA, but you have to get your license renewed every 4 years in NJ. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not as if my license was suspended and I was getting it re-instated. I think it's just a way for the state to check to see if your appearance has drastically changed in the past 4 years and then take $24 out of your pocket.
The FOP card thing has nothing to do with being brazen or bold. That is what you are supposed to do with it- per the cop who gave them to me and my in-laws. If you get pulled over, you hand it to the officer along with your license, registration, and insurance card. That way the cop can get all of the information off of the back of the card- name, rank, FOP lodge, and ask how we are related. In fact what they are supposed to do is hold onto the card and mail it to the officer who gave it to you along with a description of what happened although that has never happened to me (it did happen to my mother in law though when her mother had a heart attack and she was speeding to get to the hospital).
You're wrong. I don't have "many a 'fun story" about various "dubious indiscretions" (lol) while driving. I had one altercation ~16 years ago that I regretted within a few seconds of it happening and still bothers me to this day
You're also wrong about how many tickets you are insinuating that I have been issued before but if that makes you feel better whatever. Actually this would only be my 3rd one and I've had my license since Feb of 1994. Plus I know I've never had a careless driving. And in the post before you decided to chime in, I explained that I had just noticed he actually only gave me a ticket for going 79 in a 65 despite telling me he pulled me over for going 97 in a 65 which is why I adjusted his cop-dickometer rating (and, no, I'm not saying all cops are dicks- not by a long shot- but there are quite a few out there that are).
Trust me, I've reflected like a fat bitch in a tanning booth. I was definitely wrong for driving that fast but I swear on my grandmom's grave I had no idea I was going that fast. The ironic thing is I think the only reason I was going that fast was because when I merged onto the highway there was nobody behind me or in front of me to set my pace which is unheard of at that time of day on this particular highway. The most I typically go is about 70-75 when I am in and around traffic on a highway. However I'll admit one of my biggest petpeevs is if I'm in the left lane when I'm going 65-70 in a 65 and the person in front of me refuses to get out of the way. I don't know about the law in PA but in NJ, they are the ones actually breaking the law (keep right except to pass!).
Finally, Yes, I wanted to point out your hypocrisy. What did you want me to do? Copy and past my responses to every single post when I already addressed or answered them in my replies to you?
