I hope it's gone by NYE, at least.
The back is funny because you can't really do anything to correct it other than chiropractic work, which is usually only a temporary fix. I've had back pains that lasted for 2 weeks, but most times, it was only a day or 2.
There's really no differentiating them, either. I had worse back pain when the duration was shorter, but other times the short-term back pain was less acute. All of this talk about back pain makes me kind of glad I haven't bowled since May.
I usually bowl 3 times a week and have no back pain. preventive medicine is the way to go here. proper stretching, back and core strengthening exercises are a must. ask your doctor or a qualified trainer for the best workout regimen for you guys

"CAST AND CREATORS" OF MST3K LIVE AT THE KESWICK FOR A 3 MOVIE MARATHON NEW YEAR'S EVE

Cinematic Titanic (what they call themselves now) is really good. Direct to DVD/Self Published, better movies, less censoring... It's really the same as MST3K but there's more people and no set-up or puppets or in-between skits.

If the giver's motive is to show off, or they are being really irresponsible with their gift giving, then I really don't think there's any reason not to be annoyed or a reason to feel guilty. I think Woody's got the right idea - if the person insists on being extravagant maybe you can convince them that it'd really get your rocks off (because they're trying to impress you, or at least make you happy, right?) if they donated to a charity in your name - either that or try and counter it by donating the items or "paying them forward" yourself (sounds like you already do), assuming the nature of the gift allows that. I know Church's do auctions and stuff to raise money, I'm sure hospitals and other organizations do as well. My uncle started this about ten years ago, it not only stemmed extended gift giving sessions but caught on.
