I was trying to drink dessert, but phatj's post made not eating something else tonight more difficult.

A dryer is one of those things that, when it stops working, it really throws a monkey wrench into your life's gears.

I wish I still had leftover turkey, but I made the remainder into a chowder yesterday.

roughly 85% of south carolina (hyperbole) are steelers fans and i'd love to see them sobbing in the backseats of their red sox-decaled motor vehicles right now.

True dat. Taking laundry to the laundromat blows. Especially when you don't know where to find one. And you don't know how to use the damn machines once you get there. And full baskets of wet clothes are HEAVY.

is the schlereth that just got traded from arizona to detroit the kid that's related to mark schlereth?

do you suppose he'll describe himself as 'matriculating' from the dbacks to the tigers?

It certainly does blow. Now, I don't really mind it once I start using a laundromat, because that's all I did in college, walking up and down an alley with sacks of clothes like a garment Santa. But recalibrating your clothing wear patterns and regular schedule is a pain in the ass.

Guys, I think I made a big discovery. I was just walking around in my basement, when I happened upon the outline of a fossil. Yes, the outline suggested they were shoes, but the style was unfamiliar to me. The sole looked like a slab of foam and highly primitive, the uppers suede, and there was a series of metal protrusions along the bottom. And then the lightbulb flickered on. Why, yes, it was the first pair of FootJoys. In my basement.

Someone on that Yankees board we read during the WS had an Ari avatar, and I thought it was awesome. The poster carried such an attitude about him.

He's got to do something beyond copying old columns to earn that salary. They ought to tell him to grab a marker and start writing out scripts.
