Criminy. It must have been some serious stuff. I didn't think prfessors could lose their jobs for hardly anything. And someone who is head of a grad program must be a fairly senior prof I'd guess. And with one week to go? It sounds wild -- am I right TV?

I would think criminal charges would have to be pending. Unless it's a real religious type school.

Oh, no, no one loses a job over banging students. Well, actually, I know of a case where someone did, but that guy was on a year to year contract, so it doesn't really count. And he was banging two students, and they only got mad when each found out about the other one.

I know Vox hates it, and it's not without its problems, but turning and open office doc into a word doc (and vice versa) is pretty easy.

She's tenured, she was only forced to resign her position as head of the grad program and to leave her professor position within this program. Being sued by a secretary in the program for racism, or so the rumor goes. Heading off to the class now.

I still remember the day I handed in my dissertation to the lady with the ruler, and all the signatures were in the right place and all the margins were the right size and the page numbers were exactly how they were supposed to be. It was awesome.
