Yeah, we've been lucky to have him healthy for this long. I pretty much agree with you. Of course, I'm not the one who has to pull the figurative trigger. I allude to it when I talk to my mom, but I think my dad is probably the most attached to him. I think this yelping at night might seal the deal. We can't put him anywhere anymore.
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

There is a large tree next to my place. I'm reminded tonight that when it rains, sometimes pine cones come crashing down on my roof and it startles the hell out of me. It sounds like someone throwing something at my window.

We have that, except it's the finches crashing into the kitchen windows, or the odd squirrel running across the roof.
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

The only time it was my decision to have to put an animal down was with our cat about 6 years ago. We got him as a kitten, and he was sick from the start. I would have to go home at lunch and feed him heavy cream and ice cream with a dropper b/c he couldn't smell anything. He eventually got over that (kennel cough) but then one day (the day the Eagles played in Atlanta, with Schaub starting b/c Vick was hurt) he just stopped doing anything. He was very lethargic, just sat in one space, and then would go hide somewhere. When cats are going to die, they tend to go somewhere to die alone. Very depressing. So we took him to the vet the next day, and he said the cat was having kidney failure. He said we could go to Jefferson's pet clinic and get him a kidney transplant. Since our insurance barely covered our vision, there was no way.

We set it up for him to be put down in a couple days, and when I left work that day to go pick him up to take to the vet, he was already dead. He was on this blanket in the office, we put him in there so our other young cat wouldn't try to keep playing with him. He was sitting there frozen with his eyes open. I wrapped him up in the blanket and took him to the vet, and they asked if I wanted the blanket back. I didn't think it would be cool to offer someone a cat's death shroud if they ever slept over, so I just let the vet keep it.

sorry to hear about that barry. when my dog was getting worse, the yelping put it over the top. we took him to the emergency vet on a sunday so he wouldn't have to suffer anymore. it's a hard decision, because you think, what if he isn't suffering that much and i'm putting him down? but it's the right thing to do. sitting with him for his last few minutes is tough, but he'll give you that one last look of thanks and you'll know you did right. damn, tearing up a bit just thinking back to that day.

Tomorrow's Chipotle day. You jerks will have me wanting it now, though...

Very sad about the health woes of pets. I've never had to deal with that; I don't think I could handle it. (My mom got a dog when I was 21, right when my brother was about to leave for college. I went with her to the shelter, and was close to crying by the time we left; I wanted to take them all. Again, I was 21--not, like, 8 or something.) As it is, I dread the day that our cats begin to decline. They're about nine, so hopefully we have awhile yet.

Qdoba > Chipotle

I have eaten there three times in the past two weeks at three different locations in two different states.

Not around here... The Qdoba burrito I had was disgusting. Plus, the people at 'hoya's Chipoltle are much more interesting. The Qdoba is dead.

I think of Hoya everytime I think of Chipotle. That's a little weird, since I think of going to Chipotle every time I'm near it, which is twice a week.

Honestly, I think your raving about it was a big part of what tipped me to Chipotle. At the least I owe you a beer or two for this.

Some people spread religion, others volunteer in soup kitchens, I talk about Chipotle

It's worth all the effort I've put into it just to hear the success stories

LOL^

Does anybody know how to turn off the fucking shuffle thing on the iphone? It doesn't switch to a different artist or cd but it plays all the songs in the wrong order.

There's a little thing at the top right hand corner with 3 straight lines but that doesn't do shit but show the right order of the music.
