As someone who was laid off three weeks ago and is now fervidly looking into graduate schools, I am wondering what these deadlines are?
Personally, I've taken the GRE, identified my primary targets for schools and potential advisors (I'm presently initiating contact with them), requested recommendations from three of my undergraduate professors, written a template for my statement of purpose, and initiated the online application for the schools. Is there anything I should start doing immediately? I'm in the geosciences, if that matters.
