steagles, i think you're talking about yourself.
it's called projecting, actually.

but that's not what i'm doing here.
if you don't know what the wrestlers are trying to do--how certain moves and holds are supposed to work and so forth, then it might just look like too sweaty guys rolling around on a mat.

Oh. I'm replying to a Steagles post. Um. OK.

Seriously, you're starting to worry me now. Do you really, REALLY have anything relevant to say to the parent of a special needs kid going through marital problems? While drunk?

I think I do. I have a very high opinion of my opinions.

Why does he need to say something relevant? He can say whatever he wants. It's up to that person to decide if they're going to listen. I don't think Mose was honestly looking for those guys to decide his future. He was looking to vent and the guys that were around last night allowed him to do that.
"I tell all kids not to use that word. If they're 29 and they win the World Series, I think they can say that.
But I definitely would say to all the kids out there, 'Kids, it's a bad word. Don't say it. And I'm dead serious.' "

absolutely not, and i said as much to mose last night. and that last comment was CLEARLY in jest.

the point is that when mose posted that, he didn't need the rest of us to be dicks. we might not have given him any helpful advice at all, but what has your married, "mature," advice helped him with? feeling worse? congrats.

The point is, kids, don't post personal stuff about your relationship on the internet for all to read. It can't go anywhere good.

I'm going to have some diet pepsi, then order pizza and wings, then have some beer.

OMG personal information.

Probably I'm the only person who finds this particularly funny. But I have to ask: why diet pepsi? To make up for the rest of it?

I ask as the guy whose food consumption is mostly processed sweet and/or savory stuff that would give PtK the appalled vapors, yet buys low-fat peanut butter, 1 percent milk, etc.

I would be so much more overweight if all the soda I drank was of the full calorie variety. Plus I have been drinking diet soda for a few years now, and at this point, I don't really have a preference between it and regular Coke/Pepsi.

Crap--did I rip off a Seinfeld joke and not even realize it?

Sorry. Gah, that's pretty embarrassing.

Figured it had to be something like that. I can't stand diet soda, though--other than Coors Light, I don't think there's any taste I find as immediately evil.

My brother-in-law supposedly once lost 40 pounds in two months solely by giving up soda. I try to cut down, but often nothing else will do.

I don't drink soda at all, and I'm still chunky. That doesn't prove anything really.

People who live in heavy-Jewish areas, go check your supermarkets for Passover Coca-Cola, made with real sugar and not that lethal HFCS stuff.
