I've found good pizza (Sahara, Pagliacci's), good burgers/fries (Gaslamp, Dick's), and good bisucuits & gravy (Tuesday mornings at the cafeteria in my office), but I have yet to eat a Seattle-area cheesesteak that truly meets my standards. Can you point me in the right direction?

The right direction would be east.

Zing! Unfortunately, I only see myself making the trip home about once a year.

I hear you. Home for me is the opposite direction (I grew up in Oregon) and I didn't make it there at all last year and we're trying to figure out how we're going to do it this year with two kids.

ketamine?
if you don't know what the wrestlers are trying to do--how certain moves and holds are supposed to work and so forth, then it might just look like too sweaty guys rolling around on a mat.

Oh. I'm replying to a Steagles post. Um. OK.

There's a place around the corner from me run by some nice Koreans. They make cheesesteaks but they aren't really Philly quality. They aren't bad though. They do make some good yaki soba.

There was a good place in Kent that imported Amaroso rolls somehow and they made very authentic cheese steaks. But they're gone now.

A guy told me there's a place in Seattle that makes good ones but I don't remember what the name of the place is. I should have written it down but it was at a Mariners game and I wasn't thinking. I know -- big help, right?

I actually make them myself and do OK if I can get the right kind of roll.

I don't know Mick -- lots of places claim to make Philly Cheese Steaks. But none really do around here. I think we need to derive east a few thousand miles.

Nice weather we've been having, huh? Think it will snow again this Sunday too?

Oh by the way, Burger Express in Federal Way makes some awesome burgers. They're an independent burger joint and make 'em the old fashioned way.

Someone tell me I'm not too hungry to finally get out and go running.

Hah! I'm heading out there just to spite phaj.

And then I'll have a chicken cheese steak and negate the whole thing.

Turns out my mom worked with #13 on Siena during high school. He's apparently a very nice young man, and she told me to root for him. Damn shame I didn't get this message before filling out my bracket.

Also, a lot quieter around here tonight without mose tearing shit up, and Housh et al. chiming in.

i mean really, who takes a guy with nine years bartending experience and makes him a waiter? all night, i had to fight the urge to walk out.

i'm about five times faster than the bartenders i was trying to order drinks from. it's just ridiculous.
