ill chalk this one up with thinking Eli is a good QB

He won the Super Bowl.

We're gonna win an election. Or at least come way closer than we deserve considering how unpopular Bush is. You won't think it's pretty. You won't understand it, but it's life, chump.

She's giving a good speech right now. And everyone here is trashing it. EVERYONE. Jesus. You guys are just in an alternative world here.

his team won the super bowl.

he was bad in the season and mediocre in the playoffs. he is eli manning. a bad quarterback.

I am going to blame this election being close on religious idiots. Mostly the catholics.

Trent, I actually care about what you think. I'll watch the recap on CNN. Honestly, I think she's done a good job. I'm not shilling here. I don't get paid enough to shill. I think she's done quite a good job.

I'll see what the pros think, and not cocoon in the comforts of Fox.

I can see why her constituency wants to like her, and I can see why they will like her. In this speech, however, she's done nothing for me at aall but establish that she is in entirely over her head.

David Brooks and the gang on PBS are the only ones remotely worth watching. It might be fun to watch some of the C-Span callers too.

well, if john mccain ends up in a hollywood-style crazy movie as president where he is taken hostage, he's definitely more prepared for that than obama is.

Lieberman was better last night. Now he would have been a good maverick pick.

how is it good? serious question.

It's small time. I'm not hearing anything like big picture. She's spent most of it ragging on the opposition, which I suppose is what she or whomever else might have been chosen for veep is there to do. So it must be one of those speeches only you political pros get.
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

She's reading a speech. I think she's reading a speech really quite well. We won't know if she's over her head until her first press conference or the VP debate.

Honestly, I thought she just gave one hell of a speech. Maybe it's because I'm drunk. Maybe it's because I'm in denial that the Phillies season is over, but I'm pretty sure it's just that she just gave one hell of a speech.

this is what i get. i could sort of get out of it that they will angle her that "she knows energy issues because she is from alaska." so that was the one section where i think she proposed ideas with some sort of "experience" to lean on... and that section was "drill baby drill!"... yikes.
