That means 70% of the country is uninformed or stupid.

Try to argue that its not, please.

Because we should drill for more oil? Because we need oil? Because our economy runs on oil? Because it would be nice to get more oil ourselves and be less dependent on countries that hate us?

It's not mutually exclusive between drilling and investing in alternative energy sources and investing in ways to create more efficient vehicles. We can do all of these things, because it makes sense.

ditto... big time. ive ben pretty confident for a while though. i just cant wait until biden gets to be in the same room as palin. let alone obama and mccain...

We don't get a ton of oil from 'countries that hate us', though.

Regardless, chanting it is simply stupid.

I'm a maverick too. But you'd be stupid beyond belief to vote for me.

if that's the case, then I guess we should put her on TOP of the ticket, not the bottom, seeing as biden and mccain have similar careers

More interestingly, in a reversal of normal practice, the Reps are running late, while the Dems were pretty much spot on with the schedule.

Here comes Palin.

there's nothing wrong with getting it from Venezuela, IMO. Canada is our biggest supplier.

aren't we all about the free market? it's not like we buy from certain countries, oil is pooled on a global level.

the entire oil in alaska thing has gotten a little out of hand. by most estimates there is about 100 days worth of oil in the distputed areas... in otherwords.... next to nothing. i dont think it will/should be a major issue in this election.

but in anycase, it is completely pointless to drill there.

i believe obama voted for a bill that would allow it at some point because he was able to cram a huge amount of funding for alternative fuel development in the bill... but its still stupid to drill that oil.

did anyone else see the thought bubble over levi johnston's head in that cutaway? i think it read: oh my god, what have i done.

numbers from NPR: 1/3 of delegates are female, 2% are black (lowest in a long time, especially compared to a 2004 high)
