The Seventh Installment of Random Thoughts

Postby Wizlah » Fri Jun 20, 2008 07:15:51

So first customer on opening day of box office shows up at 6.30AM and waits 3 1/2 hours to buy tickets to events where writers just, y'know talk. And he's 25. I realise we're not talking GTA IV here, but I think that's pretty good.

Yeah, he was a cyclist. No, it wasn't me trying to give us all a morning slot on the telly.

That 25 year old? he's probably getting a new video card or something. tickets going up on e-bay for £100. I guess it's another sign that we do a good job.

That's one of my all-time favorite comedy scenes. I'm hit or miss on Ben Stiller, but he just cracks me up with that one-liner.

The banjo kicks ass in the arrangements. I'd like to see members of the String Cheese Incident boiled alive as a message to abusers.

They just showed National Guard members on CNN building sand barricades near about three feet of still water. THEY WERE ALL WEARING LIFE VESTS

So I really suggest you download this software for your mp3 player (and other devices):

www.ihoundsoftware.com

Put that on your ipod, and if you ever lose it or it's stolen, the next time it's plugged in you'll get an email notification. You log into that site, and it gives you the IP address, the name of the person (their login name for their computer), location, etc.

They just showed a map on CNN's coverage of the Missouri flooding -- on the map you could clearly see a place called "Jim Crow Island"

I'm going to get back into chewing gum. I often make this odd gum-chewing motion with my mouth anyway, so I might as well put some gum in there.

I've been on a pretty steady 3 packs of Orbit a week kick. Mint Mojito is good, but makes me crave alchohol

I don't see Jim Crow Island, but I see Gilead.

I legitimately expect us to win Eaton's start tonight against a good team. Weird.

Jim Crow is alive and well in Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri (among many other places I'm sure). When I was assigned there, my admin NCO briefed my new SGM on places in the area where he should avoid going. Truth. There are still many places in these here United States that are incredibly backwards and I'm sure they are not just in Missouri.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can
