Me and my roommate need to come up with 950 bucks by June 13th or they're turning our power off. It'll be like a wacky sitcom but without the happy ending.

We're not deadbeats, we've been paying them 350 bucks every month for six months and keep telling them that there's a problem with our meter but they wouldn't send anyone out for months. The last month we got charged more than all of last summer even though the thermostat has been firmly OFF. All winter we only put the heat on when we were completely freezing and only on the lowest setting. They charged us over 1600 for the winter and still want more money. And our apartment is not big. Today they send a guy out who says nothing is wrong but I get the feeling he didn't even look into the separation between our apartment and the garage that isn't ours. I won't really know until I get home.

I can't wait to embarrass myself tomorrow. Not sure how it'll happen, but if my usual trend continues I'll either fall down the steps or spill my beer on someone.

Yeah, last time - meaning the first time I got an operator who didn't seem to be watching a tv and reading a magazine at the same time I talked to them - she told me about an outside agency we could contact, so I'll have to get in touch with them.

Sorry for freaking out - I'm just, you know, freaking out. But whatever, 6/4 baybee!

Jimmy Olsen Woody. Remember when there used to be a whole Woody manufacturing operation? Those were the days.

I've got the camera batteries charging right now (actually, the batteries of teh cameras, but VoxJr's preschool GRADUATION is tomorrow). Not to be confused with the kindergarten graduation that will be next year, or the eighth grade graduation.

And he also graduated from three-year-old preschool last year. At last that was done well and not with inflated pomp and circumstance.

Tomorrow we have them up on stage and DRAMA! about how Sister won't let them have caps and gowns.

Hell is the paver saw that has been running non-stop fifty feet from my house (and six open windows) since 9.30 this morning.

Maybe after the power is off, you can have a happy ending without any guilt, since you won't be able to see each other.

The fact that more people don't use cruise control drives me nuts, and I only drive about once every three months or so.
