Random Thoughts V: Bride of Chucky

Damn I can't go to sleep. I shouldn't start drinking unless I know I got enough to put my ass out.

You got two tight situations on your hands, td. Don't mess with the first girl anymore. If you're not attracted to her, it's not going to change. It's such a bitch! I've know some perfect girls who I WISH I was into physically but you can't pick em. Maybe go to her formal though just to make her happy (and meet her friends).

Ex-girlfriends suck. Fuck that broad and cut all ties.

yes, but there is allegedly an open bar at the formal. AND IT'S FREE. WHAT. i'd be so drunk. and so would she. there would be dancing. it would end badly.

i'm saying i'm probably going to a phillies game that night. it's semi-legit, too.

ps-- she has nice boobies. damnit!

Well, you're in college, right? I mean, proper relationships are straight up IMPOSSIBLE in college. So if you can make it clear that you're not in for anything that serious... hell, I don't know. Do what you feel.

I don't know, it might just be because I'm a degenerate fuck, but when I was a junior, I was all alone on a Thanksgiving break where I didn't go home and I had my number one pick of the whole school over. We made out sober and it was pretty clear that it was the first time either of us had hooked up with someone for the first time in years without the help of alcohol and it was also clear that the way the culture was at our school there was little hope of us having a proper go at it. If you can pull it off, more power to you. As I'm trying to live vicariously, I hope you can swing it.

No. Just on semi-hiatus. FTN has ruined the game threads and made them unreadable, PTK has ruined the OT board and made it unreadable and Vox has ruined the politics thread and made it unreadable. And at this point, I am not really contributing anything of value anyway.

I miss the crystal ball contests on the other board. Do they still do them over there?

All of your posts are 100% readable. You're always right. You're never wrong. You never post with emotion. That makes you king of the land.

I still love you though. Please start posting more. Having no one to nitpick everything I say in any thread has left a gaping void in my life.

If I could chose only one day to day errand that would just magically get done so that I'd never have to do again, it would most definitely be grocery shopping. There's no other errand I hate more.
When I post, I usually post breaking news, the inside scoop, that kindof stuff. I do express my opinion when needed. But usually the news. I want to be respected on this board for my quickness and accuracy of news. That's all I'm asking.

I actually like grocery shopping, and if I do say so myself, I'm pretty good at it. Since we moved to Arkansas, though, and Mrs. Vulture (at least at first) was a stay at home mom, she's usurped my role. Now, we typically do it together.

Two of my buddies are getting married to their college sweetharts. It's possible...just not for freaks like BSGers.

It's possible but extremely difficult. Especially if the relationship pre-dated college.

High school relationships > Marriage seem like 1 in a million
College relationships > Marriage seem like 1 in a thousand

I think the only real relationships that can work from college to marriage are those where both people are emotionally mature. I know I wasn't emotionally mature enough for that kind of relationship in college, and at 27, I wonder if I am now.

I think it's probably different for everyone. Most of my friends' parents and my own parents met in college. My one friend's two brothers met their wives in college.

Well, obviously the college relationship is more likely to end in marriage, since you're closer to the marrying age.

But me personally ... I think I probably would have married my high school sweetheart if we didn't go to college (separately) and fuck it up.

The thing is the alcohol and options.

There are three stable marriages, not counting my own, from among my circle of friends in college.

My wife and I went to the same college and were enrolled at the same time for part of one year, but I didn't meet her until after I was out of school (only by a few months, so it's not like I was a mature older man).

I don't think it's all that uncommon.

Met my wife in college. Some health/personal problems immediately post-college kind of accelerated the emotional maturation process for both of us.
