It's a mom and pop place that is in a row home and if they aren't open for business you would never know it's there. They have like a fake front wall that blends in with the neighborhood. It's not like Geno's or Pat's or Tony Luke's where they yell at you if you don't know the lingo. They're actually really nice. When they are open there is only like 2 parking spots so you need a second person to do the drop-off, drive around the corner, pick up deal.

Many places have claimed to invent the Gelati but Italiano's really did like 30 years ago. They don't use soft serve like most places do. Everything is hand made and I've been going there for as far back as I can remember since my late grandpop lived right around the corner on 10th or 11th and Iseminger. I'm almost positive that it's on 12th or 13th and Shunk.

Let me know what you think. I just can't remember when they open. It's either May 1st or June 1st.

1) I have a really hard time finding this new thread. The Bride of Chucky thing really throws it off, somehow.

2) The aftertaste of Diet Coke w/ Lime is really odd. Time to switch to Yuengling.

I miss my grandmom so god damn much. She really was one of my best friends. Does anybody think she looked like she was 68 years old? It's so hard to imagine that she was gone 14 months after this photo was taken.

I sort of think softball is boring as hell in general unless your whole league is drinking. Basketball and soccer are way better rec sports, imo.

Yep, lung cancer. We were told that she had 4-6 months to live on the day before Thanksgiving but she only made it 4 days. I still feel so guilty that I didn't spend more time with her before she was gone. I had undergone my second failed fusion surgery and was bed ridden for much of the time but I still could have toughed it out and made more of an effort.

This was the kind of person that she was- After going to see my neurosurgeon, she was finally diagnosed with cancer that had spread to her spine but she was more concerned with me and my back. That was in April (2 days before my surgery) and she passed on December 1st.

Now when I look at her picture I can see it in her face that she was sick but none of us had any idea at the time. I always wonder if I had made her go to the doctors sooner if she would have made it.

That sucks, Phight On!, but please don't have regrets about it. It's obvious you had a great relationship with her and that's all that really matters. Just cherish the memories and find comfort in knowing you had an awesome grandparent. A lot of people don't have that.

I lost a grandfather I was close to about a year and a half ago and I still miss him. I don't know that that feeling will ever go away completely, but I feel great knowing that he was such an amazing person and a tremendous inspiration to me. I'm lucky to have had him in my life for so long.

What the F is up with FedEx home delivery being closed on Mondays? I ordered a new projector screen last week and it shipped by ground from Seattle on Tuesday. The tracking number initially indicated expected delivery this coming Tuesday. No big deal, I figured, but then I left early yesterday morning for the Phillies game and missed when they tried to deliver it around 9:30am. So I called them today and asked if they could hold delivery so I might be able to pick it up tomorrow. I was told that they're closed on Sundays and Mondays. What? Isn't Monday probably the most important delivery day of the week for FedEx? I don't get it.

Thanks I appreciate that and I am sorry to hear about your loss. I am very grateful that she was able to make it to my wedding so I'll always have that and like you said all of the great memories that we had together.

There are just certain things that I struggle with. Besides what I already mentioned, as weird as it sounds, I used to have dreams (premonitions?) that she was sick but didn't say anything because I didn't want to scare her. Another thing is that I am not a religious person so while I want to believe that she is in some kind of paradise like heaven I just don't know. She was such a good person that if there was some kind of god, he/she wouldn't have made her suffer so much. There are rapists and child molesters that deserve to suffer- not her. She never hurt anybody. She took in and fed anybody who needed help no matter how long that she knew them. She was the best person that I ever knew.

Well, you get Saturday delivery at no extra charge (UPS charges extra). I suppose the choice was made that for home delivery it was more convenient for most people to get Saturday delivery than Monday. Regular Fedex ground is Monday-Friday, largely serving businesses.

housh, i love you, too. stop watching under siege.

this chick has a crush on me and just asked me to go to her sorority formal with her. i really don't want to. I NEED AN EXCUSE.

she's a super nice girl but i'm really not attracted to her at all. except when i'm really drunk. which i was on saturday. and yet, i didn't do anything. i'm so proud. it's cool because i think i become more inhibited when i'm drunk cuz i keep thinking, "shit, i'm drunk, i should NOT go for it."

saw the ex at her sister's annual picnic today. guess she forgot to mention that the new bf would be there. LAMELAMELAMELAMELAME. i think i almost gave myself a stroke trying not to look at them be all couple-y. as great of a girl as she is, i know i would never f'ing bring a current love interest to an event like that and then be all lovey-dovey with her in front of the ex. ugh.

also someone explain to me why there are always, and i mean ALWAYS, hot chicks with fat douchebags at the game? why? there is no justice.
