He assumes Murray will be released after 2016 and Mathews will break down again

Looks like a CH!P draft, unnecessary skill players and multiple Pac 12s

Eskin:Negotiations continue between #eagles and DT-DL Fletcher Cox for deal that could be worth over 100M w 60-70M guaranteed. @FOX29philly

Dixon will probably end up as one of top 2 backs in the draft so that seems optimistic. Id certainly take him

$70 million guaranteed would be the largest guaranteed contract in the NFL by $5 million (Eli Manning and Philip Rivers) and $10 million more guaranteed than the next closest non-QB (Marcell Dareus... Suh got $59,955,000 guaranteed).

My prediction is 6-years $102 million with $61 million guaranteed.

I'll never understand how Eskin remains embedded with the team while reporting crap

Some guy called in to one of the radio shows earlier today - said he was at some social or event and was next to Vinny Curry and talked to him, and Vinny told him that his deal was done - probably announced end of this week?!

I hope that's true. I'd like to see the home town kid stick and get a shot in Schwartz's defense!

Fletcher being extended would be great - but I hope they don't go over board. What did Suh get?

Didn't Vinny Curry refuse to allow cameras in his house on draft day because he wouldn't take down his Eagles paraphernalia? I guess a lot can change in a few years, but it's hard to imagine he wouldn't come back if they have any interest in signing him.

If Curry and Cox get done and Bradford isn't signed to some market multiyear deal I like the offseason so far. I don't much care for the Celek extension but not a big deal. I don't really care about Ertz or Johnson's nominal contract values as theyre structured in a low risk way (to minimize cap implications after first two years) and despite their inconsistencies, logical to spend to lock up (potentially) ascending players in early 20s

Suh got a 6-year deal worth $114.375 million with $59.955 million guaranteed. He was a free agent so he was probably negotiating from a stronger position.

The Bills extended DT Marcell Dareus last offseason with a 6-year, $96,574,118 deal with $60 million guaranteed.

The Texans extended JJ Watt two offseasons ago to a 6-year $100,005,425 deal with $51,876,000 guaranteed.

From Geoff Mosher:

The Eagles have tabled their search for a personnel chief and aren’t expected to hire until after the NFL draft, according to several league sources familiar with the situation.

The Eagles, who have no scouting chief after firing coach Chip Kelly and top personnel executive Ed Marynowitz, are looking for a high-ranking senior executive to lead the scouting department and determine the fate of current scouts, per sources, but they opened their search at a time when NFL teams are knee deep in the pre-draft process and would be reluctant to allow a top personnel executive to leave.

So the Eagles, who are marching forward with first-time head coach Dough Pederson, have temporarily suspended their search, which is significant for two reasons:

1) Even with the team’s insistence upon a “collaborative” process, executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman will have final say on all of this year’s free-agent signings and draft selections.

2) The Eagles are prepping for free agency and the draft with an incomplete scouting department, one that also lacks a college scouting director.

I'm not afraid of anything. I'm afraid of bears - bears in the forest... and Chicago, it'll be a tough matchup this week.
