At least the Blue Jays got to have a Maple Leaf, not that 4th of July caps make much sense anyway.

Korean guy Lee nails a two run blast in the tenth for a big win vs. Texas. Offa Diekman!!! Diekman now on the stinky reliefer list.

Yeah. He writes to impress, not to communicate. I'm not impressed. I taught writing and he breaks every rule in my book. Yes, did write a book. It was the Army. We could do anything back then.

No way. Ryan was Marine and a badass. I was Army and a nice guy who got things done. Not the easiest way to go but it worked for me. My book was a text book published by the Field Artillery School. None may exist. But it was fun to do.

Having a Journalism degree when you get commissioned was very unusual in my day. Had bosses who wanted me to write a lot and do investigations like I was Bob Woodward or something.

The Army finally got smart in the eighties and decided to do away with the traditional beuraucratic writing style, which no one read and didn't understand if they tried to read it. Someone saw my Jounalism degree and put me in the section that would teach how to write more better. It was pretty valuable for me. I went to a unit in Germany and the commander found out my secret. He wanted to leave a legacy so he had me write edit an SOP. It was a lot of work. And, as expected, after he left, everyone threw out my master work. Oh, well.
