New Orleans is renaming their minor league team from The Zephyrs. The finalists are: Baby Cakes, Crawfish, King Cakes, Night Owls, Po'Boys, Red Eyes and Tailgators. Aside from all the mediocre options they've come up with, there doesn't seem to be anyone down here that was clamoring for a name change. There's new ownership and it seems they're changing things for the sake of changing things.

I know they've been having attendance problems. I think the team's popularity in general has waned over the last few years. Who knows, maybe the change will help.
