I was under the impression that all of the Marlins players, especially the young guys basically loved him. That has to be a Mattingly thing all the way unless I am completely missing something.

Mackanin and him don't seem like a very good match at all but I would be interested.
Do it again!

From that Bonds article

Mattingly would have gone so far as to step down as manager if Bonds returned for another season.

Dave Wallace is retiring as Orioles pitching coach but still wants to work in MLB as a part-time pitching instructor

Why pick such similar colors? Thanks, Manfred.

Edit: pretty cool though. Trades are important. Who would've thought the big money dodgers would only have 3 FAs playing a role in the playoffs.

And then the calliope crashed to the ground.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

Ng is being considered for another GM job, this time in Arizona. She'll likely be competing against two internal candidates, another MLB guy and a Brewers exec

I knew it. Made no sense unless it was him pushing it. He was probably pissed that he wasn't the main voice for some of them. Was never his biggest fan growing up but you could tell that most of the team liked him and went to him first.
