Overstock opted out of their naming rights deal with Oakland, so it's back to "The Coliseum" again

Pitt wins the first game of the year, 4-1 over the stinky Cards.

As a fellow cloud fist shaker, I like it a lot better than a Sunday night opener.

I guess I tolerated the Sunday night thing in terms of the business reality. But the first day game has to be on a week day.

I'll never forget staying up late to see Duke win the title in 1992 and then seeing the Phillies' new uniforms at their opener the next afternoon. They took The Dude's wrist!! Then Amaro had a couple good games, and WIP wanted to trade Dykstra for Bruce Hurst

Just started

A question I saw recently: we haven't had separate umps for AL/NL in decades, we have interleague every series, and the DH may be coming to the game full-time.......so why are stats for a season still separated into AL/NL when a player goes from one league to another? Just because each league still has its own awards?

Mets lost again. That's 4 straight, vs Phillies and Marlins at home. Not good.
