i'd really love to learn more about this new, awfully acronym'd, "proprietary computer system"

Interleague is two H&H with Toronto and Chicago WS, then Cleveland and KC come here again while we visit Detroit and Minnesota again

Also notice the long road trip at the end of July while the Democratic National Convention is in town

Jim Salisbury ‏@JSalisburyCSN
Pitcher Alec Asher scratched from Lehigh Valley start tonight. Have to think we see him soon with Phillies.

Phillies ‏@Phillies
RHP Alec Asher will start for the #Phillies on Sunday. RHP Jerome Williams will move to the bullpen starting tonight.

Yay!

But a six-man rotation appears likely per other writers

Which bullpen? If it isn't the Riversharks I will be sad.

The #3 thing always bothered me even before I had watched him pitch when the Phils drafted him, everyone especially really intelligent pitchers get better at different rates. This kid is REALLY good and looks like he will keep getting better. That curve is incredible.

32 mlb catchers have 200+ pa's this year. of them, rupp ranks 14th in wrc+and obp and slg, and 13th in woba and iso. through in defense and he's 18th indefensive runs above average and in fwar depite being 31st in pa. i abolutely, totally, and completely did not see this coming.

herrera has a wrc+ in the top half of the set of 118 outfielders 200+ pa, is 40th in fwar, and among the 54 rookie mlb hitters is 10th in fwar and 20th in wrc+.

not bad for two guys who six months back were on absolutely noone's radar as possibly valuable contributors to the phils next winning team.

We're starting to get players who look like they'll be average or better. Fill in the roster with those guys and hope to develop/buy a few stars and we're looking at another championship level team.

Crawford and Williams have star potential I guess. Knapp? Franco. Can't forget him. Playoff contenders soon. Gotta have heart.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

i would add giles, nola and alfaro to the star potential list... at worst with the "?" you attached to knapp.
randolf and kilome are getting enough praise from outside the phils fanbase that they aren't far away from making the star-level-upside list as well. and then there's that #1 draft position thing...

on the other hand, if my favorite young players keep dropping like flies (araujo, williams and alfaro just this week) i'm going to lose heart again pretty soon.

Proprietary? That is so 2005, they do realize that most of the stuff can easily be found online nowadays. Put that intern to work!
