I wish we had good defensive stats. He looks ok to me but what do I know? With all the shifting around, who gets penalized when a ball gets through the infield? I also think the pitching staff effects defensive numbers. When a guy like Jerome Williams or one of those O'Sullivans is giving up rockets, fielders are penalized for not making the play I'd guess.

I like Cesar. 2B is a weak position. I think he's not a problem.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

At the Phillies mural dedication. Every time I see Lidge, it puts a smile on my face.

I love watching Hernandez and Herrera even though they act like Revere rubbed off on them at times. Both are still young. Hopefully not everyday players but solid players.

Kingery seemed like a pretty great pick and if his upside is as good as people think I would guess up the middle would be Crawford/Kingery and they might arrive pretty much on the same course. Hopefully we luck into another Rollins/Utley combination. Not like that's asking for much haha

So who's the next to be called up? Altherr? Dugan? Eickhoff? Asher?

Is that first basemen in Reading not a candidate for that list? He's having a really good season.

Since the break, the Phillies own baseball's best record (12-2) and have scored the second-most runs in the National League (78). They've outscored their opponents by 35 runs.

Run differential down to -125

I thought this team was going to make us forget how bad the teams we grew up with were and now I am pretty sure this is the best baseball team ever most likely.

Howard has more extra-base hits this season than Jose Abreu, Alex Rodriguez, Pederson, Ryan Braun, Adam Jones, Prince Fielder, Robinson Cano, Michael Brantley, David Ortiz, Jhonny Peralta and Edwin Encarnacion.

Can the Phillies advertise that fact to some AL team that needs a 1b/DH?
