[RANDOM] arbitrary, indiscriminate, nonspecific, haphazard

i got about 300 more pictures, but maybe another time. fun trip down memory lane.

man td, i feel ya, you havent been back since 2000? and I thought I felt so far removed since I havent visited since 2007. kinda felt a spark going through these pics, i miss that place, although my brother having just recently visited this summer told me our area is just poor and depressing now with the economy, but still very peaceful and relaxing to visit.

you should make a thread to just dump all those pics into, i'd love to see them

actually another amazing thing about india is that anytime there is an accident on the streets, like 64% of the time the guilty driver is gonna get beat up by the people in the street right then and there

yeah it's been way too long for me. feel like a trip is in the cards in the next year or two. need my three remaining grandparents to hang on until i can see em all one more time

about 2/3 of the az natives never visited the Grand Canyon, however those same 2/3 have made in down to rocky point at least a half a dozen times. Hell, I even visited the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania three times. Maybe it's just me but, but they just don't appreciate the amazing geological wonders or history as they do back east.

Yep, up by Wellsboro, a town north of Williamsport. Really nothing else had been there for the longest time, but the whole area as I understand it is now a boomtown because of the fracking people.

I recall reading somewhere that 3/4 of Philadelphians had never seen the Liberty Bell. I sort of don't believe that, because for a long time, you would see it if you just went down Market Street. But maybe they meant took the tour and listened to the park ranger's spiel about it.

Hmmm... Don't they have school field trips anymore? I even saw the one in allentown too when I was older, but it kinda felt like the time I saw the second string phillie phanatic in reading tho.

when I lived by the Art Museum near 30th and Girard, I met a lot of people who had never been to Center City. it's crazy

I'l miss switzerland if/when I leave, but I don't suppose I'll have the same nostalgia as others who grew up abroad. I imagine it's different growing up somewhere and forming all those young memories. They shape you more as kids than they do as adults. I would miss a lot of things though.

Offer's still there for BSGers to take advantage of where I live. I can get you a very cheap ($20 per night) hotel room or a free dorm room, free ski passes, and free dining hall food, if anyone is looking for a ski trip. Great hiking nearby, as well.

It's been hit and miss for me out here finding some good meat for my cheesesteaks.

Ordered!

If anyone else wants to order, PM me your email address. You'll get 10% off your first order (and I'll get 5% off my next order). You'll need to order from the same email address that you send me.

got 'em today. Cooked a cheesesteak for lunch. Meat is good, but sliced WAY too thick. I emailed the company- I doubt they change anything, but I figured I'd try anyway. It's liked cutting up a 1/4" steak and putting it into a sandwich. And (a secondary complaint) it comes in a big frozen 8oz "lump"- not like the Lansing or Steak-Umms where there are individual flat pieces separated by wax paper, so you could remove what you want, then put the rest back in the freezer, It's all 8oz or nothing with these.

All in all, I wish I hadn't ordered 10lbs worth- I should've just tried a small portion first.

Buck i had the same problem once. I cooked it a little bit to get it a little more tender, took it out and chopped it up into small pieces on a cutting board (if you watch them at jim's they have to cut it up too bc of how thick /pip it is, they just have a monster grill). Put it back in and only cook a bit more and it's great
