Napalm wrote:it's funny that you mentioned the Taj Mahal, have most people in India that you've talked to visited it? Most of my friends had never been to the Parthenon. Sort of a "take it for granted" thing. Have most americans visited the statue of liberty?

yeah it's the same with the Taj Mahal. and i think a lot of Indians don't even consider it our greatest architectural achievement. we have the Juggernath temple that looks like a dang chariot and the other one with all the sex positions depicted and there's the mountain where Buddhists just dug out a bunch of caves and decorated them

the amount of history is kind of mind boggling to be honest. in The Gita there's a scene where Krishna opens his mouth and shows Arjuna the whole dang universe (stars and galaxies and shit) and this was when europeans were still 100% convinced the earth was flat. einstein got the idea for "splitting atoms" from one of the Vedas that was in a european museum at the time. Gugliermo Marconi stole the technology that eventually became long-distance radio waves from indian botanist/physicist JC Bose (only a slight exaggeration)

shitty. we blew all of our friends minds with the stuff we brought from america. bagged and vac sealed, emptied some shampoo bottles and squeezed them in there, refilling the bottles with the shampoo afterwards. threw them in the luggage. post 9/11, no issues.

the idea of smoking straight j's confused them (and destroyed them). it's a spliff nation over there where you sprinkle in some herb on your tobacco cig.
