People seem to be getting excited about pi day, but they should realize it's only really pi day in the US where for some reason we mm/dd/yy method of doing the date rather than the more sensible dd/mm/yy. Of course, if we did do that, we would never have a pi day.

could you elaborate on the sensibility of dd/mm/yy, which i've always found more interesting (when i was overseas)

that's what i grew up with in india, and to be honest with you, it makes more sense than MM/DD/YY

the EU always fucks me up because they don't have a name for their currency under 1 euro. as such, something that is 1/2 euro is pronounced 0 euro 50 - get fucked.

no i was raised in america, but by foreign parents, and i spent like 20 summers over there. have a bunch of childhood friends growing up. kinda like two separate lives actually.
