Nick Schultz greatest defenseman in Flyer history per Hextall.

They were gonna have it anyway, but they just don't usually have the coach question hanging over their heads.

Seravalli's going hard after Berube in this press conference, and justifiably so.

Every writer is.

Not really. Others mentioned it at the start but got distracted later talking about the "leadership" BS, meanwhile Seravalli's citing specific instances of Berube's incompetence.

hartnell is 33 and fat and has four years left. still like that deal. those last two years are going to be a fuck.
they weren't winning anything this year or next.

My guess is they will fire Berube, but Snider hasn't created the position he will be promoted to yet.

Agree 100% with this. Traded a sunk cost for a shorter cheaper sunk cost and they are in a quick rebuild mode.

disagree here. hartnell wasn't a sunk cost. just a guy berube wanted gone for whatever reason. if he fell off a cliff later than figure a way out then.

Take a look at how hard it is to move Lecavalier and Umberger now. It's easy to say find a way, but it's much harder to do it.

This is the Sixers fan in me, but Hartnell was never going to be the difference between winning and losing a title, and his contract was garbage.
