At least this dreadful season has come to an end. Time to get ready for '15-'16. Hextall has a lot of work to do.

Hexty sure has the assets to turn this thing around quickly. Between the multiple 1st rounders and the youth on the blue line, a little cap flexibility would go a long way.

the babcock stuff will be interesting. clearly wants out of the shithole. leafs will be frontrunners but they're in such a shitty spot. wouldn't be surprised at all if the flyers go all in on him.

Fuck that. I'd rather keep Berube. I feel like if the Flyers think they have a legitimate shot at Babcock, Berube is gone; otherwise, I would not be a bit surprised to see Chief behind the bench come September.

There are plenty of guys available this off-season, so there's no need for Berube to be back. I'm not thrilled with the way the season went, and despite what happened don't think he's the worst coach in the NHL, but when you have the chance to upgrade, you have to go for it.

With Babcock, Bylsma, Boucher available, and I guess if you even want to throw Tortorella in there, there are plenty of coaches more talented than Chief. The list could go on and on, to be honest.

Berube is the worst coach the franchise has had since Wayne Cashman IMO.

Tons of good coaches available.........Randy Carlye, Boucher, Tippett (probably), Torts, Babcock, Bylsma and even a guy like John Stevens who IMO is going to be very successful after being groomed under Sutter in LA.

There's zero reason to keep Berube with the talented list of coaches looking for a job.

I completely agree with this. That move was made out of spite and dislike for Mason......i.e. the best goalie the franchise has had since 1987.

I've brought up that last name to a few friends and gotten laughed at. I would be more than thrilled to see Stevens back here.

By the way, Carchidi reports that Hextall is having a press conference on Wednesday at 2 PM to announce Berube's status.
