If Revere, Gordon and Betts are in our starting 8, then bring back Pierre while you're at it. Fuck it, let's field a whole team that's under 6'

Rumor is they are trying to trade Dee Gordon.

Joel Sherman: Dodgers have let teams know open to moving Dee Gordon. New front office likes OBP, not Gordon’s forte

GM Farhan Zaidi: We're not trading Dee Gordon

Amaro: "We're excited to have a player as productive as Dee Gordon. With Ben Revere and Dee Gordon at the top of the lineup, we have an incredible amount of speed that will really get into the pitcher's head in those rare instances when one or both of them have managed to hit a 14 hop ground ball through the middle."

yes, and I felt this way two years ago, too. It's time.

Y'all say that now but when they have 50+ losses at the ASB y'all be bitchin' and moanin'.

IDK I think a lot of us here like watching what the Sixers are doing. It shouldn't be exactly like the Sixers because the Phillies are rich and all but I think everyone is ready for a rebuild.

I'd rather watch a young team get 50+ losses by the ASB than an old team.

There is a part of me that thinks that this years Mookie Betts is last year's Jackie Bradley Jr. or 3 years ago Dominic Brown. We all had a man crush on Mike Olt like 2 years ago. Maybe the way to go is to just let the Red Sox keep Betts, Boegarts and Swihart and Owens. Do something like a 2 for 5 trade Bastardo/Hamels for Cecchini, Coyle, Margot, Brentz, Ball trade. I don't know. Just spitballing. Maybe quantity beats quality when its Rube you got trying to pick the quality.

Steamer projects Mookie Betts to accrue 2.5 WAR next year... in 89 games (389PA). that seems insane

kinda liked the latter half of last season when you could walk right up to a vendor at CBP without waiting in line for 20 minutes

I don't have any idea what the return for Jimmy Rollins would be. Anyone care to speculate (without using the term mid-level or low-level prospect since I never know whether "level" means quality of prospect or level of organizational ball that he is playing at).

Unfortunately, Rube is in a position where its more important to "win" the trade (ie: get a name everyone knows) than it is to actually make the team better.

Didn't he try that already when he traded Lee for a bunch of nobodies?

Revere hit two homers last year. He's batting cleanup.

In a sick way, that would be sort of fun to watch. For at least a week or so. Get Ichiro and trade for Billy Hamilton.

I would guess an older upper minors hitter with production but missing certain tools and/or a lower minors pitcher with a raw arm and terrible numbers. From the Dodgers system I would suggest Scott Schebler and Zachary Bird.

Not if we have some decent prospects to watch. If they all suck and can't play the game (Dom is a good example of that type of player), then I would probably be upset.
