That doesn’t mean we won’t make trades; it doesn’t mean at some point, if it’s a good enough player and we’ve got to trade a young player, we may look at that. But it’s not a vision of mine to trade young players for older players. It would have to be a really, really strong deal for us.”

The Flyers will be looking to make a move at the draft for a D-man and the three names I keep hearing mentioned are Anaheim's Sami Vatanen, Dallas' Trevor Daley, and Winnipeg's Dustin Byfuglien. All three are names you will hear a lot of from several teams at the draft. The Maple Leafs also have interest in Daley.

As for Reading, they moved from Columbus when the Blue Jackets joined the league, so I doubt they'll change their name. Plus Reading Royals sounds like a LeVar Burton thing

How does Jim Benning's selection as GM in Vancouver, and who he selects as head coach, affect the Ryan Kesler situation?
Darren Dreger: Ryan Kesler hasn't changed his mind. He wants a fresh start and to move on from Vancouver; he met with Benning earlier this week to talk about that. It's believed that Kesler still has six teams on his list that he's willing to be traded to. And we think that Philadelphia and Anaheim are among those.
