Pirates just lost a painful, painful game tonight. Were up 5-2 with two outs in the ninth to the Reds and one guy on. He scores on a throwing error, which allows the batter to go to second. The next dude singles, then steals second, leaving runners at second and third with two out, Pirates up 5-3. Then an INFIELD SINGLE plates the remaining two.

Votto HRs in the 10th to win. Man oh man.

Angels and Rockies

I tried to guess at this but saw your post 5 days late. Rockies were one of my guesses because it's never seemed like they were any worse than mediocre. Wouldn't have guessed Angels though.

They haven't lost 100 since 1961 (after losing 100 seemingly all the time before that - back when this was really hard to do, since teams only played 154 games before 1962 in the NL).

That's really bizarre that they haven't lost 100 games since it became 8 games easier to do so.

So 3 of the guys responsible for the Phillies losing the 09 WS may be retiring. Another may be suspended. Another is broken (Jeter)

Surprised about this, he's been awesome this year. If he wanted to it seems he could get at least a few more years of production.

His 10 Ks per nine lead the league. Seems odd that his 3.39 ERA is good for only a 105 ERA +.

Funny game this baseball.

Thats cool

Phils playoff games were really more exciting (ex ante, and obviously ex post) than even Eagles playoff games for me but now I doubt I'll watch more than 1-2 games this postseason. I'll watch the Bucs play in game, and then, wgaff

a lot of shitty teams dont register in the ratings. not only are they bad, they are on csn houston, which a lot of providers still dont carry.
