I think this is my favorite of his weird analogies. It's based on nothing more than myself, family, and friends, but I'd put the odds of getting back together with an an ex at around ~50%

He also compared getting excited about prospects (Dom in particular) to getting your heart broken in a breakup. I'm guessing he either he went through a bad breakup once and now tries to avoid getting optimistic about anything anymore because it reminds him of when his first and only love broke his heart OR he he has never had a romantic relationship and assumes it must be something like following a baseball team.

But still, something, literally anything, is better than nothing. Pierre has zero long-term future in Philadelphia, so if the Phillies get back a sixer of Natty Bo and the a copy of the fifth season of The Wire on DVD, the Phillies win the trade. There is literally no reason for the Phillies to hang on to Pierre.
