He's a fucking idiot. In general, fucking idiots don't make sense. That's all this is.

Not everyone recognizes this:

CrashburnAlley wrote:His thoughts on the gloomy days that lie ahead for the Phillies rested on the recent rash of injuries and the enormity of the contracts that Amaro has handed out recently. Sounds like something pretty much every Phillies fan says. The only difference is that Michael is more passionate and more eloquent than the average fan, so he was able to accent what that meant to him. If you're used to my type of writing, then I can see how you missed the factual underpinnings of his post, but it is there nevertheless. I'm not a storyteller; Michael is a gifted storyteller.

He's honestly trying too hard to be Conlin or something; that's always the vibe I get. I like a little intro now and then, but come on

I know from "gifted storytellers." TGP has a bunch--Bakestar seems to find two or three new ones every year--and quite a few frequent these parts as well.

That guy is an ignorant emo douchebag. I think it would be a fun and worthwhile BSG group activity to give him wedgies and swirlies.

Since leaving college, I've worked exclusively as a journalist and a teacher. Both of which are infinitely more important than "ballplayer"

And I bet Jimmy Rollins tries exponentially harder at his job than I have at mine.

So I'm not willing to make character judgments on people I've never met without a very good reason.

@4Who4What: “How come it’s cool when Cliff Lee doesn’t run out a grounder but it’s inexcusable for Jimmy not to run out a grounder?”

the only people who think journalists are more important than ballplayers are baseball reporters

I've never read anything he's written (seriously, it's hard for me to read anything at length about baseball anymore), but I do enjoy how much you guys hate him

Taking Rollins out for not running out a pop-up is like not paying your taxes because you don't like immigration policy.

What he's saying is that you think you're sending a message but you're only hurting yourself, homie.

It's a valid analogy, it's just that it's also a terrible one

I don't think either party has formulated a cohesive immigration policy, so I'm undecided about the Rollins benching.
