I don't see how we're worse than the Marlins. OK they have some young guys that have been around for a year or two. Signing Salty and Furcal makes them better than us?

I mean, my bias aside, we've only been that bad two or three times in my whole life, with garbage rosters on balance -- not two aces, a good closer and what looks to me the makings of a mediocre offense (with some chance of decline but also of bounce back and/or 3B/RF/C gains). Obviously we have question marks in the rotation and pen, but also some decent depth and upside for a change, and on the bench. I really don't get it
As for last year's pitching vs. that of the Fish, we're probably not gonna give 300+ innings to Lannan, Halladay, Cloyd, Martin (while green), Valdes, and Miner, or have that comical #$!&@ of the first half of the year in middle relief. It's possible to get worse, I guess, but pretty difficult.
