his numbers weren't as bad as i figured they'd be with the amount of hate i have for him and steamer projects him to be half decent next year. makes it at least plausible someone else would want him.

right now robertson would probably be their closer. his numbers the last 3 years as a set-up guy have been off the charts but the few times they've put him in the 9th inning he's struggled with the CLOSER'S MENTALITY so there's speculation they aren't completely set on him.

I don't hate the guy as much as some people do, but if he's a problem in the clubhouse, you have to get rid of him. At the same time, I won't pretend to be a WIP caller and say that I know if he is, or that he isn't a leader in the clubhouse, or other WIP-related BS.

Also, this would almost have to be Monty forcing Rube to do this, right? I don't see Rube as the person who would turn his back on something like this after 2 seasons.

I'll be kinda surprised if they can move him. more like really surprised. Heck, Arizona just had to tie a top 10 prospect around Heath Bell's neck to dump his 8 million. Maybe the Yanks. Maybe Seattle.

I both like and hate pap, but it didn't really work out and with where we're at right now, they should move him. I don't think it's gonna happen though. they're keeping the ever decreasing window open and trading him away goes against that idea unfortunately

I didn't realize he had been THAT dominant until I just looked at his Wikipedia page. If Amaro manages to snag him, this would be a pretty good offseason in my book. At least next year would be interesting having him and MAG in the rotation.
