The public sale is the same as always (mid February). I don't remember 14- and 17-game plans being on sale this early in past years, but could be wrong. Or maybe a bunch of those previous plan holders didn't renew

Today is the day that MLB clubs have to add guys to the 40 man roster to protect them from the Rule 5 draft.
Guys like Altherr, Dugan, Joseph, Rasmussen, Hewitt, Rosin, Buchanan, Jay Johnson will need to be protected or be subject to possible selection.

Sources tell CSNPhilly.com that the Phils' most recent round of interviews has included Randy St. Claire and Bob McClure. St. Claire was the Mets’ Triple A pitching coach in 2013. He has been a big-league pitching coach with the Nationals and Marlins. McClure has been a big-league pitching coach with Kansas City and Boston.
