moved into the 10th spot. .5 game behind the rockies (@dodgers), 1 game behind the brewers (@mets) and 2.5 behind seattle (vs. oak). tied with the jays (vs. tampa), 1 up on the giants (1 vs. dodgers, 3 vs. padres), 2 up on the padres (1 vs. dbacks, 3 @sf)

Unlike Holmgren, it seems that Amaro understands how to tank. With Batting Practice Cloyd going tonight, 10th spot is secure for another day.

How much does one consider the "official" articles on the Phillies website? It sounds like both Doc and Chooch are returning for 2014 if it's to be believed....

I checked a day or two ago and Jimmy ranked 53rd among MLB SS in OWAR. That,of course, means there are roughly two dozen part-time SS who contributed more offensively this year (in total; not by rate) than did Jimmy. Once you factor in defense and base running, Jimmy ranks 19th.
