CBS Sports' Jon Heyman hears that the asking price for left-hander Cliff Lee is "extremely high."
"[Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr. is] telling people it'll take you [sic] three or four best prospects, plus you'd have to take all the money," a competing executive told CBS Sports on Monday. Lee, 34, is owed $25 million in 2014, another $25 million in 2015, and he carries a $27.5 million vesting option (or a $12.5 million buyout) for 2016. He seems likely to ultimately stay put in Philadelphia

Red Sox and Phillies have engaged in talks on Cliff Lee and Michael Young, but Sox won't deal top prospects.

Red Sox want good players, don't want to give up good players.

No team wants to take on Cliff Lee's contract AND give up top prospects without the Phillies eating salary.
The Red Sox top prospects are top prospects in all of baseball too, not like what they got in the Pence deal.
I don't think they move Lee, Amaro won't eat the money required to get the good prospects.
