I'd say his problem is probably his inability to hit a fastball or off speed pitch.

They seemed to abandon that idea quickly, but who knows. Hopefully Asche will play his way into it. Maybe Young would come back cheap as part of a platoon initially

I'd put Galvis at 3B after the ASB (trade Mike for whatever we can get, team will have at least some interest if he doesn't get hurt) and leave him there until the end of next season

Teams that are leading their division normally don't trade starting players who are getting on base at nearly a .400 clip. Might trade Galvis for a reliefer though.

This year. In the minors. In May.

That narrows it down. At least it's not likely to be demonic possession.

If they replace Kratz with Humberto that could give them 5 or 6 extra wins.

I seriously didn't understand why they kept Kratz up and not him. He was hitting better than Kratz (which is the only thing of "value" Kratz has), though still not well but he's so much better defensively. Kratz is a joke.

According to the guy who studies pitch framing, Kratz! Is really good at it. That is actually pretty valuable. He steals more far more strikes than the average catcher and that is huge in getting the count advantage.

speaking of pitch framing, anyone else remember how Dutch Daulton used to bring EVERY pitch to the middle of the plate no matter where it was? Good times
