maybe that's because they ARE terrible

yeah he said that on DNL or whatever that show on CSN is called now....also called Zambrano good depth, but they will keep an eye on him while he progresses thru their minor league system while CSN showed a bunch of mike adams footage, never made any mention of adams in the interview....also said Cole and Howard are pressing and thats why they are struggling

Of course it's great to be 3.5 back the way they've played. The problem is if the way they've played is indicative of how good they are.

I suspect they are better than they've shown, but how much better?

I can't wait to find out -- the suspense is killing me!

I'm concerned about the offense, but 3-13 in Hamels and Halladay starts is crazy. To a lesser extent, so is the almost historically bad middle relief. Hopefully DeFratus can absorb some of that, and Stutes is on a nice roll w/ Pigs

Whereas I don't see much that's gone unsustainably right other than Boner and the pinch hitting

it's not that crazy because Hamels and Halladay have been collectively terrible. It's one thing to expect better results from good production but it's another thing to assign the expectation of good production to two guys who have given you the exact opposite
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

Outside of Hamels starts they're 18-14  That's a .565 winning % which is better than the Braves or Nats winning %.

Outside of Kris Medlen starts, the Braves are 20-12, a .625 winning %.
Outside of Steven Strasburg starts, the Nationals are 19-13, a .594 winning %.
