Agreed, but if he continues to hit I'm content, especially if he goes yard. He's on a hitting streak now.

He also hasn't walked this month. .300/.300/.560 in 50 PAs

No offense Soren, but I'd take an .800 opsing Domonic Brown who doesn't walk over a 700 opsing one who does. Of course he'll start walking again, I hope.

That's a false dichotomy though. He has the skill set to take walks AND slug .500

It is a process. Once this stops working, he'll change his approach more to what it was.... And you hope he takes some of this with him. He looks like he is improving, which is the bottom line.
Continued success, thanks for comin' on the show!

we are sorta at the quarter-pole for the season, so you can project to a full season with a factor of 4.
i did that to compare last year's non-pitcher bwar to this year.
long-story short: this year comes out a half-win ahead... if you leave out the implosion at catcher, which is on pace to be 7.5 wins below last year's contribution.

the rest balances out mostly because wiggy and ryho stunk even more last year than ryho this year, and chase has already been more valuable than all of his replacements last year.

other than chooch getting sorted out, the easiest way to improve is to dump evilyoung and bring up ruf to platoon with howard and nix. it might also be a good idea toreplace jberry with jermain mitchell as the platoon/backup for brown and revere.

Also, Mayberry has an .813 OPS this year vs. LHP and is .870 for his career. Why would you want to lose that?

I was like, "that can't be right" and then I saw he brought his overall OPS up 46 points yesterday. Thought we were too far along in the season to do that.
