Third base remains another area that the Phils would like to upgrade. They are looking for a short-term fit as not to block the path of prospect Cody Asche. Free-agent Kevin Youkilis is an obvious fit. Veteran Texas infielder Michael Young could also be a fit if some hurdles could be cleared. Young has a no-trade clause and is signed for 2013 at $16 million. Sources say the Phillies have interest in Young, but the player would have to waive his no-trade clause and the Rangers would have to pick up a chunk of his salary. Young has spent his entire 12-year career with the Rangers.

Stop being so negative. If we get him he'll be only the first of several great moves to come. We already signed Hamels. The Braves lol are paying Upton a lot of money. At least we don't have that coke fiend Hamilton. Maybe we can get Swisher too. Blah blah blah.
