Worley's good I just think he may be at peak value now, and if we can get a good CF for cheap $$ next two years that could free up cash for say, Youk and a decent priced corner OF

Gotta think the Twins would consider packaging Willingham and Span. Willingham is a health risk and coming off a great year. We'd probably have to give up something decent but they'd definitely help

elaborate please. i see rapid promotions and stats that say he dominated a+ and aa, and finished very strong in the aaa-equivalent afl.
some scouts hate his defense or hitting, others think he's made big leaps forward in one or both. some reports have the phillies continuing to fast-track him, others have them putting on the breaks. this is what i get out of staring at the stats and googling around for late-summer and fall news reports on him. if you have very recent or more definitive info from which i can learn, i would like to see it.

This is semantics, I suppose, but an .849 OPS in 2012 doesn't strike me as dominating. It strikes me as worthy of good prospect status, but "dominating" is what elite prospects do. And even elite prospects frequently stumble out of the gates in the majors, as you know.

Combine Asche's likeliness to struggle offensively at first with the mixed reviews of his defense, and I think the Phillies would be very foolish to count on him to be above replacement level in the majors at this point. I can see Asche getting a cup of coffee next September but unless he goes out of his mind in AAA this season (assuming he starts there), that's it.

Yeah that's true, assuming the Twins don't mark him down too much for the elbow

I'm just messing with you man. I do think the Twins could value Kendrick too, they love righty strike throwers

Really good article. Give the Phillies every incentive to remain elite over the next two years. Need to keep ratings high.

If Comcast is shelling out 80 mill a year for the Astros I think the Phils are in good shape.

Another reason I fully expect them to spend money this offseason. Adding Hamilton would be the splash they need to send an already happy fanbase through the roof.

Buying high. Pretty severe home/road splits. Danger Will Robinson.

It was also speculation by the Denver Post's Troy Renck.

Fowler's stats away from Coor's Field are pretty pedestrian. Schierholtz is that good.
