Money was also a huge disappointment. He was the centerpiece of the Bunning deal and he flopped with the Phils. He blossomed in Milwaukee.
The Phils, for some reason, traded all their black players away during the late 60s/early 70s. Ferguson Jenkins; Grant Jackson; Alex Johnson; Dick Allen of course. Briggs; Gamble; Hisle (although Hisle was a legitimate disappointment). I remember it being an issue at the time. They even gave away Tony Taylor.
I remember it was really weird and turned me off to the way they were doing things.
