Phew, for a second I thought WIP wasn't going to have anything to talk about this week.

They'll mix it into their recap of the 1999 NFL Draft and whether or not McNabb was a failure

Wow, wow, wow. Imagine if Ibanez/Utley/Rollins could reclaim some of their former glories, even if only for August-October. Hell, September-October.

Hell, October.

Yeah, those guys (Big Roy, CLIFF LEE, Lil Roy and Hummus) are pretty good.

That 4.89 K/BB is what jumps out at me.

LOL, Eskin just said Howard sees "80 to 90 percent breaking balls" on Sports Final. What an uneducated toolbag.

Also Big Roy - 1.05 WHIP, 7.57 K/BB, 9.06 K/9

Assuming A - my math is correct and B - Big Roy pitches as many innings as he did last season (I hope that is not the case), he'd finish with 252 SO's, by far the best of his career.

OTOH, Mariners team OBP is .299.

Ichiro is at .311. That just ain't right.

Brendan Ryan was the #2 guy in the lineup and Adam Kennedy was the cleanup hitter. The bad thing is, these are two of the better hitters in their lineup. Smoak is real good but the rest of the lineup is pretty bad. Plus you got that SAFECO HUGE ballpark. Not a lot of runs forecast for this weekend.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can
