Bennie Fresh is getting ridiculously BABIP'd though, .478 BABIP on line drives.

If you adjust it to a league average, he should have about ~6 more hits. I'm being lazy here, but that would raise his average to .299. If you add his ISO (which is lazy because LDs have a higher rate of going for XB so it would probably have a more dramatic impact on his slugging) you wind up with a .562 SLG%. Again, super lazy here, but if you just add his .333 OBP (more hits should mean higher OBP) than you arrive at an OPS of .895.

Would still play Dom over him in RF right now.

Yea me too, just an observation about how much better he has been performing than his numbers would indicate. I was just looking at what value he would have as part of a platoon in the corner OF spots.

I think those Benny numbers are heavily weighted for April, also. My 'I watch the games!' take is that he was horrendously unlucky to start with and really started pressing/swinging too hard. Hopefully his time on the pime gets him to relax so he can start mashin taters.

He tore it up the first week of the season, I thought. Then hit a slump hard.

I would think Dom would bat in front of Chooch. I would love to finally see that lineup tomorrow.

Brown's not an eight hitter, though, and Victorino between four lefties isn't good. That's why I think they have to try to acquire a Pence or Quentin type for LF.

Which would probably mean Ibanez replacing Gload as top LH pinch hitter.

Rollins/Victorino
Polanco
Utley
Howard
Pence/Quentin
Rollins/Victorino
Brown
Ruiz

I gotta think Gload to the DL is the move. As worthless as Martinez is, Valdez can't be the only backup infielder.

I really want Chooch and his high OBP up higher in the order rather than wasted in front of the pitcher's spot.

Victorino
Polly
Utley
Howard
Rollins
Chooch
Brown
Ibanez
