The Braves rotation is hilariously overrated.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

It's Hanson, 2 guys who are falling apart with age, and Jurkens who isn't nearly as good as he's made out to be.

i'm hopping on the Shields bandwagon now. his SIERA was great last year, BABIP 33 points above his career average, highest career HR/FB, career high K-rate, career low xFIP. and he was healthy all year so there wasn't any kind of injury factor at play.
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

I think I heard on the broadcast today that Mike Martinez had a late start to his pro career because he was in the Dominican Army. Jeez, I wonder if he got into any gun fights with Iran-Contras or anything.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

I'm just surprised a ballplayer ended up serving. They do anti-drug stuff (probably not well) and they do mess with Haiti. Keeping out the illegal Haitian immigrants and stuff.

If only they were as effective at drug interdiction as U.S. troops. . .

That Adam Rubin posted this beauty on the Castillo signing from BIG PELF on Twitter:

"He might hit 30 homers at that place."

Texas’ Michael Young remains the most attractive infielder on the trade market, and the Phillies like him. But with a payroll of $160 million, the Phils would have a difficult time swallowing the remaining three years and $48 million on his contract. Amaro is on record as saying he has no money left in his budget. Interestingly, the Rangers have scouted games at the Phillies’ minor-league complex in recent days.

The New York Daily News reports that the Phillies are "ready to make a pitch" for Michael Young.

yuck. I don't like Young at all and, if it's true that the Phils are considering, it probably means Utley is at death's door
