That's a relief. I guess it also means they'll make the movie bridging seasons 3 and 4.

Last night's episode was odd. The main storyline didn't do all that much for me, I think mostly because it had some sloppy narrative construction, but some of the other stuff--the Tigh/Helo conflict, Caprica's "internal Baltar" and Roslin and Tori (mmm... Tori) watching her through the two-way glass--was pretty cool.

Sci Fi Press release says a 'minimum' of 13 episodes...

And like that, it was gone.

Studio 60's planned hiatus moved up a week early so The Black Donnellys could benefit from two original Heroes lead ins before their own hiatus. No planned return date for Magee's favorite show. Last nights numbers were the worst in the series history, and frankly, its a perfect time to go out with Perry popping pills and Sorkin leaving out the best character (Steven Weber). So next week will be the last Studio 60....for a while. Perhaps they close out the season on fridays or something.

Comcast on demand has the whole season of Jericho for free. I watched most of it and was impressed, anyone else into it?

Season 2's opener of Life on Mars throws the kitchen sink at your bonce and expects you to cope. It's not bad, there's just a lot of it and it wastes the non inconsiderable acting talents of scary mark warren. Luckily second episode was on BBC4 and it was much, much better. Gives all the actors more space, develops the plot slowly and properly. Series 2 big plotline looks to be developing in a suitably mysterious way.

I watched the entire first season in a weekend while I was staying up with the new baby - I liked it. There's this "Max Max, the first six months" vibe to it that I dig - I just hope that's the way they're going. It's not of the quality of BSG, Lost, or Heroes - and at some points the "crisis of the week" was getting a bit old (probably seemed worse because I was watching on episode after another).

It's replaced Prison Break on my DVR recording list.

So what are you folks watching regularly these days?

Our DVR catches:

Make time to watch shows:
Heroes
Lost
Jericho
Battlestar Galactica
30 Rock
The Office
Rome
Studio 60
Survivor

Upcoming make time to watch:
The Shield
Sopranos

Record just in case you find time to watch:
My Name is Earl
South Park
Digging for the Truth
Prison Break

I'm pretty sure Mrs. Vox also has The Unit and Veronica Mars on her "must watch" list, but I never got into either. It also appears that Gilmore Girls is on the "don't know why I'm still watching this" list.

When creators who have such massive control of a show leave a show, it's better to let that show die...happened with the west wing, happened with gilmore girls...not so much in the buffyverse cause joss never completely left and hired some great people (who have permeated most of the good to great shows on television it seems) to back him up and write for him.

My DVR list looks pretty similar these days Vox

Lost
The Shield
24
The Office
Jericho
Battlestar Gallactica
The OC (guilty pleasure)

Just started watching The Shield recently from the beginning on Spike, I'm quite impressed so far. Don't know why it's taken me this long to get into it as I enjoy of most of the other FX shows like Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me. Speaking of Rescue Me, anyone (dsp?) know when the new season starts? I also have the first two seasons of The Wire on DVD that I got for xmas but haven't had the time to break into them yet.

Lost
The Office
My Name is Earl
Scrubs
30 Rock
Knights of Prosperity
Family Guy
Simpsons
Masters of Horror (Showtime)
MXC
1 vs 100

Will watch when they come back:
Dexter
South Park
Reno 911
Drawn Together

Still watch tons of Futurama episodes on Adult Swim. I seem to never get tired of them. Nice to see FX airing Married with Children episodes again. Try to catch them whenever I'm home and remember they are on.

The Shield returns April 3. Forest Whitaker will be in it, but they aren't saying how many episodes. Obviously, the main plot line is Vic hunting for Lem's killer.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Friday Night Lights is terrific. You should all be watching it. Even 1.

Is it just me, or was the first half of Jericho's season not broadcast in HD?
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

I think its just you...I had just gotten my HDTV in September and distinctly remember watching all the Jericho episodes in HD.

OK. It's probably because I watched most of the episodes On Demand.

The wife is so psyched that she's not fussed about valentine's day - apparently she's planning a slap-up meal for the 13th of Feb.

Sadly, no spaghetti hoops.

There's a rumor going around that John Simm will play the Master in Doctor Who next season. I'd love to see he and Tennant go at it.

Sounds too good to be true, though.
